"I'll give them some information, but not too much of course, before they go on their way. Don't want any trouble near th' Abbey. He said with his final whisper. Oliver was a polite beast; despite his scars, wrapped paws, wrapped footpaws, and pieces of his ear missing, he always put on a friendly face for any beast.
"Afraid not my friend. No warlords 'ave been 'round these parts for many seasons now. Most tried to take Redwall as their own, but died tryin'. Despite bein' a peaceful place, we can raise a resistance, with th' 'elp of our friends all over Mossflower of course. As for rulers, th' closest thing to a ruler we 'ave 'ere is our Abbot, who is a father to us all, in a sense. 'E decides th' rules an' regulations within th' Abbey, only to keep order an' peace. Not to rule over one another. We are all pretty equal behind our walls." The large squirrel said, answering Kaspiyan's question.

Lance did a slight nod and thought about something. Where was this feral cats group, and how many were part of it? Seeing how he sent the stoat away....probably means their not that far. He knew from many rumors and reputation, this group was skilled, but not many. A educated guess.....would be about a score strong.
Zeph wasn't paying attention to what was going on. Leon was paying attention and knew Zeph was daydreaming again....as usual. Zpeh's daydream was about Redwall Abbey, and the amazing food served there. He heard the many sweets that were cooked there. Lance kept a watchful eye over them, even though his hood was up.

Kaspiyan's face perked differently at the mention of 'friends' of this Redwall place. Armed groups, soldiers perhaps? If he was to look for work and campaigning up here, these would be wise places to look. He wondered where Risky was by now, hopefully far enough away to offer the illusion of being gone. Kaspiyan didn't fully trust these creatures -naturally of course- and while he was a capable fighter, having an surprise ally at hand was useful.
"Friends, you speak of friend in Mossflower? Are these, armed militia groups, or sellswords of some manner?" He asked politely.

The warrior let Lance do the scene scanning and thinking while he spoke to the lone creature. Oliver was happy that this beast didn't want any trouble, at least not that he was aware of. He continued to answer Kaspiyan's questions with the best of his abilities.
"Ah! The GUOSIM are th' closest thing to a militia you're gonna get 'ere. They ferry longboats in Mossflower, fight in large groups, an' use rapiers as their weapons. They are some of the most 'elpful creatures you can meet. They are mostly good beasts, but closer on the neutral scale. They deal with their affairs and problems first then aid those who are in need of it." Oliver put a thought to his head and continued.
"You also 'ave th' Otter 'Olt, where th' skipper and 'is Otter`s live. The Skipper of Otters is th' leader of th' group and they specialize in spear throwing an' stone slingin' mostly. Most of those Otter's are powerful beasts with great amounts of strength an' are all expert swimmers."

Leon was no fool, he could tell the stoat was not gone. Maybe lance knew, maybe he didn't, all he could tell was that he was not fooled. Clever he'll admit, pretty clever. The strong, experienced, and smart leader. No wonder he's got a group of mercenaries at his back somewhere.
Lance noticed Leon was thinking about something. Even though its been...a week, or two travelling with his two students, he knew them well enough. The passive, yet scanning eye Leon has now....he knew something. He taught Leon well, that hes always impressed by his more experienced student. But even so, theres always room for improvement. When he heard about the GUOSIM though, he snorted slightly. He knew very much about the milita shrews, mostly their weaknesses. Their argumentative nature, mostly...their argumentative nature. Good fighters he'll admit, but the tendency to argue almost every second....that can cost you dearly in a fight.

((Laptop fixed! Yay!))
Otter holts, the Guosim, nothing new. Kaspiyan felt disappointed, and very slightly worried. He'd come up here looking for work, for battles. If there was nothing up here for them, they faced the prospect of marching further into the icy north, or heading back south towards Southsward where fighting was more prevalent. And without much of anything having happened for weeks, his soldiers were getting a bit antsy. He didn't relish having them hike another big journey with no payoff here. He dipped his head in respect to the travellers.
"Your help and information is much appreciated. Have safe travels to you all." He finished, and began backing up into the bush, not being one to turn his back on strange beasts. Once decently in the foliage, he turned around and headed back to find Risky, and to make his way back to the camp.

"It's no problem my friend, an' 'ave safe travels as well." Oliver watched as the Feral Cat left. It was a strange encounter, but he always met strange beasts and been apart of much stranger events ever since his travels at a very young age.
"Well, they are gone, for now. I know they are camped somewhere near. I know these woods like th' back of my paw an' my general senses tell me so. I guess it's safe to say we go to th' Abbey now. We'll be nice an' refreshed back there. What do you all say?" Oliver asked waiting for his new friends replies.

Lance stretched slightly before answering Oliver. "Sure, if my two students are ready to go, one in particular whose sleeping." Zeph was napping behind the log when he heard his name being mentioned. "Oh umm...sorry about that lance." He grins and gets up quickly. Leon gets up as well, and grabs his pack.
Lance was already wearing his pack. "If you forget your pack again zeph, your going back by yourself to get it." He said to Zeph. which left him a chill. "Yes sir." Zeph said without his usual cheery attitude and grabbed his pack. "Lead on Oliver." lance says.

Oliver smiled and walked in front again. "Alright Lance! We're off to Redwall." He said as he twirled his staff around leading the group on. It wouldn't be too long of a journey really only about a twenty minute walk from the heavily walled fortress that sat in the middle of Mossflower wood. He wanted to show his company the beauty of it all.
"Shouldn't be too long now, we 'ave been close to Redwall th' whole time." He said enthusiastically while he kept up a leisure like walking pace. it was best to enjoy the day while it lasted.

Lance kept his own pace with Oliver, with Zeph and Leon walking together behind him. Zeph was obviously excited about the prospect of visiting The Redwall Abbey, home of the champion of Redwall, and the legendary sword of Martin. That part of Redwall always sticked to his mind, the legendary sword of Martin the Warrior, hero of legend, defender of peace, and many other titles as well. Leon already guessed Zeph was daydreaming about Martin the warrior as usual, which is one of two other things that kept his mind on one thing, the other thing was food.
"I figured as much." Lance said in response to Oliver. He knew they were relatively close to Redwall, considering how they first met Oliver lounging in a tree, and how he did not have much stuff with him.

Oliver chuckled as he noticed anticipation and excitement from the slightly younger Zeph. He felt that Zeph would become something great, eventually.
"Yeah, my whole location was pretty much a dead giveaway." He said with a small chuckle.
It didn't take long, but the group were already walking towards the gates. The large towering walls and high ramparts really stuck out when up close. It was truly a beautiful sight for any creature to see. "Well, 'ere we are! My beautiful 'ome, Redwall." Oliver said before looking up and giving one of the beasts on the ramparts a thumbs up to let them in. The creature up top gave the signal and the gatehouse keeper opened the wooden doors.
"Now th' fun begins, my friends."

Zeph just stood there, looking bug eyed at the sight before him, he couldn't tell if he was dreaming or not. He felt a chill run up his spine suddenly, almost as if being watched. He turned quickly and thought to himself he must've been imagining things. How could he, considering the famous Redwall Abbey was right in front of him, but he still couldn't quite shake off the chill of being watched as he walked in, and past the large wooden gates.....
