General--Possessions:
Isaac is a large newt. Like most lizards, he is scaly and smooth. He is very large for a newt, and is about as large as a squirrel. His skin is very dark, almost black. There are noticeable tones of gray in his skin on his sides and his belly is yellow, typical of crested newts.

Like all lizards, Isaac does not dress in clothing like the other animals of Mossflower. He does, however, have a scabbard for his sword and a strap for his bow/quiver. Apart from that, Isaac is bare.
Isaac possesses a Falchion, which he uses at close range, and a bow with arrows for far range encounters. He keeps a precious medallion on a chain around his neck. This medallion is extremely valuable to himPersonality:
Isaac, being a lizard, is somewhat cold. However, he is not unfriendly and he does much better with words and speech than most lizards. His disposition is very straight-forward. Isaac always keeps his thoughts where he wants them. To others, he somehow always seems to be "going up," meaning he always seems to be positive. His thoughts are always skyward. Even if he were on the verge of death, his view would always be upward.Strengths:
To those who know him, he is a valiant and noble being. He is a very deep creature, despite being a lizard. He is not exactly warm, even if you get to know him very well, but he can be very friendly and loving to those he cares about. A good way to sum up his disposition would be to say that he is a very noble and caring creature, but one that is not warm.
However, he can be very mellow. Especially when he is lounging in the sunlight.
Isaac is valiant. He doesn't fear death and is very brave, without being stupid.Weaknesses:
He is an excellent shot with his bow and a fine swordsbeast. He is a favorable creature to be allied with in a battle.
Isaac's mind is very quick and often powerful.
Being a lizard, Isaac has no problem at all with being stealth and quiet.
Isaac, being a lizard, isn't the strongest of beasts.History/Background:
Though having no fear of death can be a strength, it can also be a weakness when bravery is not needed.
Isaac is a victim of being cold-blooded physically. If he is in the cold for too long, he will die.
He is very neutral in his actions. He is not above unnecessary violence.
Isaac's true history is all but unknown to most beasts. Isaac actually was born in Mossflower. He grew up with no family except a great eel that taught him speech and other fundamentals of life. This eel had been in every depth of the River Moss and, as such, knew a great deal of the happenings and history of Mossflower. Isaac grew up rather normally for being raised by such a creature, and the fact that this eel was completely detached from either good or evil helped. The eel explained to Isaac that he found Isaac's entire colony of newts slain by vermin in a small war between the two factions. The same vermin gang had been going through Mossflower, killing and burning (sometimes in the reverse order) every beast they came across. Isaac was at his teenage years when the eel told him. He took the news with something he had previously never felt before: anger. Isaac, normally very calm and cool-headed, became enraged. The eel gave Isaac direction on where to find the vermin gang. Isaac, bent on revenge, followed the eel's advice without hesitation.Relationships:
Isaac found the vermin gang's camp within a day's searching. He discovered that their current camp was littered with woodland creatures' corpses, some burnt to the skeleton. He also discovered that they had been suffering casualties throughout their trek through Mossflower by birds and other wild creatures, and his assault would be easier. Isaac couldn't care less what was picking them off, and he was ready to attack. He waited until nightfall. None of the vermin ever saw it coming. Isaac had found a sharp dagger laying about and prepared his attack. He marked his targets and began the slaughter. The look-outs were the first to fall. Their necks were split open by Isaac's new dagger while their cries were stifled by his free hand and tail. Even had they heard the killing, none of the vermin would have been able to spot Isaac easily: he was little more than a shadow of death moving across the murderers. Eventually, when only one last vermin was left, a large rat who was the apparent leader, Isaac had begun looting the corpses for anything that might have belonged to one the innocent creatures that had fallen victim to the cruelty of the vermin gang. Isaac gathered most of what he could find into a pile, and then walked silently to the rat.
Isaac, armed with only his dagger, brought his face close to the rat's. He then hissed angrily, "Wake up. It's time for you to die." The rat opened his eyes and blinked. Then, with a start, he grabbed for his saber. Isaac backed away, letting him get hold of it. The rat whirled around to face Isaac, but he was not there. The newt had skillfully moved around to the rat's back, silently and swiftly. The rat felt an extreme pain bursting through his stomach, as he saw a dagger-point come out through his belly. Isaac said calmly in the rat's ear, "You reap what you sow." The rat fell and began growling and groaning in pain. He called for Isaac to finish him, but Isaac merely turned his head slightly and looked his straight in the eye. The feeling the rat got when he looked into Isaac's eye made him shiver and feel as though he were freezing to death. Then Isaac dowsed the fires and gathered up the belongings of the vermin's victims, pacing them in a bag he found in the camp. As he left for his home, the painful cries of the rat diminished. Isaac knew that the rat would be finished off by some scavenger of the woods... and when he was dead, if the rat was lucky. Isaac smiled grimly.
When he returned to his home, the eel was waiting for him. The eel told Isaac that he believed he was ready to live on his own. Shortly afterwords, the two respectfully said their goodbyes, and Isaac never saw the great eel again. The eel swam out of the small hidden pond that the two of them called home for what seemed like the longest time. Isaac now felt something else he had never felt before: sadness. He felt alone. He also felt that if he remained in this pond, he would be driven mad with grief. He missed the eel already. He realized that he was truly alone and that no one was around to protect him. He had to leave, too.
Originally, he planned to follow the eel's course, but he decided against it, as he knew he would never be able to keep up with the giant beast in the River Moss. He instead turned the other way and started following the River Moss wherever it would take him.
Eventually, Isaac began exploring the great woodland mass of Mossflower and dived deeper and deeper. He stumbled across a secret place where no living thing seemed to inhabit. It was a clearing in the woods that had a smooth slope on all sides, making it like a bowl set deep in the earth. This piece of land had a rocky formation near one of the sides where a spring bubbled out into a gentle waterfall. The waterfall emptied into a pleasant little pond and over the top of the waterfall there seemed to always be a small rainbow. The rest of the clearing was soft grass and flowers that were so beautiful, even Isaac felt a tear in his eye when he beheld the pleasant piece of land. It was like an island paradise of grasslands in the summer set within the woods of Mossflower. Isaac suddenly remembered the fallen victims of the vermin gang and began going through the bag. He sorted all the possessions the best he could and began digging a few graves in which to put the dead's belongings. When he was sorting out the treasures, he found a medallion that was obviously very precious. It was golden with diamonds set in the ridges. A large sapphire was set in the very center. Isaac marveled at this treasure. He decided that he would wear this medallion forever, always as a reminder to the dead in which he laid to rest in the small clearing.
Isaac vowed to the dead that no beast would ever come into the clearing without Isaac's approval. He set a very high standard of who he would let into the clearing, also. He became the Keeper of that clearing. None would ever enter it without his permission.
- Isaac met several beasts, both vermin and goodbeasts, throughout his career. Some remained his good friends.
- Among his closest friends, Isaac had let some into the clearing. These are his closest ties, and he cares for them greatly.
- Etc.
Though Isaac mostly eats fish and birds, he actually enjoys fruit immensely.
He found his Falchion and Bow when he came across a previous battlefield of Salamandastron Hares against vermin.
