Name: Sinflora "Sin" Dreadblade
Gender: Female
Age: 26
Species: Ermine
Occupation: Lone Marauder, Wanderer, Poisoner
Physical Appearance:
Complexion: Winter: Her coat is completely white save for the very tip of her tail, which remains black. She has a brownish-pink nose and dark eyes. Summer: Her underside remains white and the tip of her tail remains black, however her back and the top of her face running from her nose to tail becomes a medium brown color. Autumn/Spring: Her fur is changing, so it is a smattering of white and brown on the backside.
Build: Slender. Sin is thinly built with a longer than normal tail. She is shorter than the average ermine, however, and this comes across as her appearing weaker as well.
Clothing: A sleeveless tunic and a highland kilt serve her well, though if one looks closely, they will also see a leather belt made of the skin of the first rat Sin ever killed.
Personal Traits: Sin is unusually pretty for an ermine. Her facial features are very fine and she has long eyelashes.
Possessions
Clan Claymore: Sin's claymore is much like any other with one noticeable difference. It was made thinner, therefore is lighter than the others, but is just as strong. The folding of the metal was done differently, and has been passed down from mother to daughter until it reached Sin.
Carving Knife: A strong bladed carving knife graces the side of Sin's belt. As she spends much of her time whittling small wooden things, such as bowls, spoons, the occasional arrow, and such, she also has a sharpening stone along with her knife. The knife is also used for skinning other beasts.
Other possessions: Along with these, she also carries a bow that she rarely uses, a quiver of arrows, and usually whatever carving she is working on at the time.
Personality:
Sin tends to be impatient with most everyone. Of course, that may have something to do with the fact that she has to prove over and over that she is fully capable of doing anything that the others can do. She also hates her name and her foofy mother who gave her the name. So now she is just Sin and will gut anyone who says otherwise. She loves her warrior grandmother. Other than that, Sin can be caring and kind when she feels like it, and she is annoyingly intelligent.
Strengths:
Smarter than the average vermin, a deadly bladebeast, quick as a hare, and overwhelmingly beautiful.
Weaknesses:
Short, therefore not as strong as the next ermine, was raised to eat her enemies, cannot shoot a bow very well, has a short temper.
History:
Sinflora grew up in a typical vermin home. Her grandmother was a renowned villain in her own rights, but her mother never wanted anything to do with killing. Freida, upon hearing her daughter's blasphemous suggestion of living in peace, killed her own daughter and claimed her grandchildren as her own, raising the twin sisters, Sin and Fawn, in the true tradition of warrior ermine.
Frieda taught the girls everything she knew. How to kill, the way around a blade, creatures to kill, tracking, the best ways to kill, battle tactics, and when to kill. She also taught them to eat the dispatched enemies, be them vermin or otherwise. Sin's memories of being young revolved around the lessons from her grandmother.
It wasn't until Sin was twelve when her grandmother died. A pirate raid gone horribly awry led to the death of Freida. A male stoat captain, upon seeing the beauty of the twin sisters, brought them aboard his ship as his adopted daughters. The slave ship, known as the Redwave, ran the seas from north to south, capturing slaves for both the oars and for selling. A standing order was put out that none could touch the twins without risking instant death. Captain Creatin Dreadblade was feared among his crew for his ruthless punishments, and when it came to the girls, those punishments became even worse. Sin did meet a fox, however, who taught her everything he knew about poisons and poisonous plants.
There came a sunny day in the south seas when the water was calm and sailing was easy. The crew was bored, and the captain was in a liquor induced sleep, so a few of the crew members thought it would be fun to mess with the sisters. Fawna, who had never excelled at swordsmanship, was quickly disarmed and the crew started to have fun with her, tying her up and using her for target practice. Sin, however, was not so easy to subdue. It took five different crewbeasts to disarm her and, in a last ditch effort to save herself, Sin jumped on the sixth crewbeast, a very unlucky rat, and bit clean through his neck, killing him instantly. The rest of the crew backed away as she snarled at them, and, after releasing her sister, they proceeded to skin and dispatch the rat with swift ease. When Creatin woke up, he found his crew huddled in the barracks, terrified, and his daughters cleaning up the remainder of the grisly meal.
Knowing that he could not keep both girls safe forever, he gave them the option to leave together or have one stay. Sin convinced Fawna to stay with the Redwave and started her solitary journey from the southern seas north. This was when she was 20.
After many years of traveling, Sin is now making her way south along the shores near Salamandastron, watching the waves and hoping to spot the ship carrying her sister. She is also hoping to see the Fire Dragon's Mountain, though it would be unlikely she would come anywhere near such a place.
Relationships:
Grandmother, Freidra (deceased)
Mother, Tille (deceased)
Sister, Fawna
Captain of the Redwave, Creatin Dreadblade
Other
Sin is one of the cannibalistic creatures. Though meat is not a necessary part of her diet, and she can live off anything, she does enjoy killing the random bird or two if there are no enemies about.
