Nadie caught the apron and put it on with an attentive look on her face as the bartender gave her the instructions. The rat walked behind the counter while tying the apron behind her back. Working something in her paws did them good, even if it was just securing an apron with a simple knot.
"Got it," Nadie said when the fox finished. "Thank you, sir." She took up the tray of beer.
"Big-lookin' stoats in the corner..." Nadie repeated quietly for her own memory. She looked for them with her black eyes and spotted them. She was off a moment later, headed for the table.
Not getting paid by the actual tavern didn't bother her much. Money was nice, but waitressing (waitering? waiting? Nadie didn't even know what the right name was) wasn't the only thing she could do for pay. She was a rat of many talents, or so she liked to think.
"Here y'are," the rat sweetly told the two stoats when she reached their table. "Nettle beers." She sets the drinks down with care so as not to spill them. "If you need anythin' else, just shout."

Lance then could tell one of the fox captains pull Tulian close to speak. He could tell glances their looking for crew-members. It could be a interesting venture, but other matters took care first. He rubbed his left leg as he thought about the one battle that nearly crippled him for good. Maybe he should leave, he wouldn't do to well on a boat, barely had experience with them anyway. If he fell overboard, he would be doomed because of his left leg. He decided to leave, but discreetly though. He got up slowly, got his lance, took off the tip and put the tip in his pack. Then he walked out the front door quietly and into the storm. He pulled up his hood quickly and kept close to the buildings to keep out the worst of the storm. He quickly made it out of the town and headed for the forest quickly. He also looked for shelter to hide in from the storm. As he got to the forest, he saw a cave not some distance away. He quickly made for it and went in. He would wait for the storm to pass to resume his journey west into Mossflower.
