Permission to make a feral cat given by Prankster.
Name: Marquis Roldán Morales da Firenze
Real Name: Felix Ferroux
Gender: Male
Age: 18 Years Old
Species: Feral Cat
Occupation: Dockworker (former), Thief, Shoemaker, Dreamer.
Side: Neutral
Physical Appearance:
Roldán Morales da Firenze (let's just call him Roldán or Felix) is a cat of extravagant tastes and a very high standard for personal hygiene. Considering he is a feral cat with a great deal of long, luxurious fur, proper hygiene could be essential to a very long and healthy life for him (provided his wife doesn't kill him off first). Roldán gives off a heavy appearance, with a thick, uneven coat, long, extravagantly bushy tail and huge, high-set ears. He's an orange tabby in color, with a Mackeral pattern (see picture below for reference), a dark, 'm' shaped marking upon his forehead (which he jokingly states is a symbol of his position as a marquis) and similar, equally as dark markings around his eyes and cheeks. He's not a 'solid orange', but rather has a variety of shades of orange all over his body, starting with the dark orange markings, the light orange base coat, and the creamy white fur that runs from his muzzle to his belly and along the underside of his tail. His fur requires regular bathing and brushing to keep it from matting, but he is fond of water (provided they are very small bodies of water, like a tub) so it's not too much of a hassle for him.
Despite the thickness of his fur, it lies rather flat against his small muscled, but big-boned form, the multitude of orange hair making him appear larger than he actually is. If his fur were any denser, he'd appear twice his actual size. Perhaps what is Roldán's biggest trump card in life is his physical appearance. Nicknamed 'the handsome fool' by the creatures who know him back home, Roldán has relied on his attractiveness rather than his intelligence to get him out of certain situations (at least, when a female is involved). He's fortunate that his plush orange coat tends to look very good in all types of lighting, and is as soft as a kitten's. He has a broad head and a wide, squarish muzzle with equally as large oval-shaped eyes of hazel that slant ever so slightly toward the base of his ears. His ears do not stick out, but rather stick perfectly up, almost in a similar manner to a hare's, but his are tufted like a wildcat or a lynx, giving him the appearance of some kind of exotic creature from a faraway land.
Though he is a nimble, fleet-footed creature, his appearance doesn't convey any of this, his body, though small, has particularly large paws (perfect for landing and pushing off of things, as well as running beasts over), and that huge bottle-brush tail is by far is most eye-catching feature. It's not thin like one belonging to a cat with shorter fur, and it's large enough to rival even a fox's. Despite his substantial looking bone structure, Roldán is a stealthy, sneaky creature with all the dexterity and flexibility of a highly trained monkey or an acrobat.
Roldán, interestingly enough, comes from a family of slow growers, which means he isn't likely to reach his adult size for another 4 or 5 years, when he's just moved up into his early twenties. He still has the appearance of an older kitten, and will probably keep his young but handsome looks for a little while longer. The quirkier parts of Roldán's appearance include the bits of hair between all of his toes (his paws are thickly padded and make for great snow-shoes in the wintertime), and the unusually long, perfectly white whiskers. His nose is a leathery pink in color, with thick whisker pads, and long, pristine white claws that complete his appearance.
Clothing-wise, Roldán is prone to wearing two different variations, depending on his occupation.
His traditional clothes consist of a plain white laced-up shirt with close-fitting cuffs but loose-fitting sleeves (which are often pushed up to allow him to work), dark brown trousers, small nondescript leather shoes, and a handsome golden medallion against his chest. Over top the laced up shirt is a sleeveless, lightweight leather vest with golden buttons up the front and brown cotton fabric over the back. These are considered his respectable work clothes, and the kind he can generally be seen in during the day time – his nighttime clothes contrast heavily with this, however.
During his thieving hours (approximately 10PM – 4AM), Roldán not only undergoes a personality change, but he changes his outward attire to match.
Trading in his white laced up shirt for a black, close-fitting tunic that has a slight v-shaped neckline and a short, stiff collar. The sleeves are slim and tightly cuffed, his furry paws covered by thin leather gloves. His large, bushy tail is smoothed and strapped to his back (beneath his shirt) by thin but durable leather bands, and upon his head is a large black hood with a full mantel that covers his shoulders. Upon his legs are tight black breeches, lightweight leather boots with a small sheath for a dagger strapped to the outside of his left thigh. It is normally the only weapon he carries. Because of his bright orange fur, during his thieving hours, he will often cover his face, chest, neck and ears in soot to help him better blend in with the night time. This entire outfit is designed for stealth and quick getaways, both of which are things he does very, very well.
Possessions:
One of his prized possessions is the gold medallion he wears around his neck; this shiny bauble hangs from a golden chain, and has the image of a roaring lion upon it's visage, with the words Audentes fortuna juvat (fortune favors the bold) along the edges of the medallion's face.
His weapon of choice is a 10 inch, plain looking dagger with a black hardwood handle, and a brass guard and pommel. It's kept in a leather sheathe attached to the outside of his left thigh. It holds special significance to him because, like the medallion, it's one of the first things he's ever stolen. The length of the blade itself is 5 inches.
While out thieving, Roldán carries a thick, fur-lined, black sack to carry the things he stolen. The reason for the fur lining is to muffle the sound of his stolen goods clinking and clacking together. It's lined with rabbit fur, but the bag itself is something he took from a vermin, not something he's made himself.
