Name: DeCerulean 'December' Embermore Krell Gender: Female Age: 29 Species: Wood mouse Occupation: Redwaller/Painter/Wife and (hopefully) future mother
Physical Appearance: December is a plump, short little mouse, covered in deep, coffee-brown fur splattered with calico-like spots of rich caramel and bright blonde. Her tail is quite short, by mouse standards, and her paws are rather dainty, both forepaws and hind paws. Her chubby cheeks are most often seen pushed up against her eyes in an ever-present grin. Her face as a whole is quite expressive. With large, brownish-black eyes, a habit of scrunching up her tiny pink nose, big rounded ears that sit high on her head, and lots of whiskers, December has been called adorable on many occasions. She appears much younger than she is, and many beasts have mistaken her for a teenager. She has a tiny patch of white fur beneath her chin, and a white streak on the underside of her dark brown tail. Clothing: December can always be seen in a large, dark violet 'wizard' hat. A cone-shaped, floppy thing that really should be retired soon, her hat is much too large for her, and the brim has more than a few tears on the edges. Its pointed end sports a triangular piece of fabric shaped like the 'spade' tip often seen on the end of a dragon's tail in stories. It also has a wide band of dull silver fabric embroidered in violet thread with her initials D. E. on the back. December most often wears the traditional habit of Redwall, and she likes to wear big, flowing robes at all times. She requests an oversized habit anytime she's in need of a new one. She also likes wearing dresses, again, big and flowing, and her favorite dress is a bright orange satin one with long sleeves, and a long midnight blue tunic worn over it. She will wear sandals sometimes, but going bare-pawed trumps wearing sandals any day to her.
Possessions: December carries her blue-and-green-cover diary and something to write with under her robes at all times. She has a horrible memory, so she likes to write down important events as they happen. She's also easily inspired, so she will write down ideas for paintings as they come to her. She also carries a small piece of canvas on which is painted the image of a red dragon, her very first painting. She keeps it close at paw since it holds great sentimental value. She also wears a necklace with a silver pendant that resembles half of a broken heart. Her husband wears the other half, and when the pieces are put together, they read: 'My heart is not whole without you.'
Personality: DeCerulean Embermore is a spunky little mouse. She appreciates humor in all its forms (except dirty jokes, those are just distasteful), and she will giggle uncontrollably if somebeast tells a particularly good joke. She loves hearing funny stories, and there are few things in this world she does not find humorous in some way. December is not afraid of anything. Well, few things, anyway. She does not quake when facing a creature larger than her, nor does she back down from an argument. She likes to settle disputes up front and directly. Though she does not fight with her paws or a weapon, she has a sharp tongue and a sharper wit. As mentioned before, she's a spunky little mouse, and never backs down from an opportunity to prove it. The only things she is afraid of are spiders, snakes, and rats (I mean, come on, how are those things NOT scary?). She turns to her husband, a decent fighting mouse, when faced with any one of these things. She is more attached to her husband than anybeast or anything. Completely star-struck with her husband, another wood mouse named Miles, December shows few, if any, other beasts more affection than she shows him. And he returns her love tenfold. The couple can often be seen holding paws, giving each other kisses on the cheek, hugging, or rubbing noses. They don't make out in public, obviously. But they do display their sweet affections clearly to those around them. December is a painter, and she paints often. She normally paints dragons and other creatures of her own imagination, but she will also do portraits and landscape scenes on occasion. She likes to use normal canvases, but if those are in short supply, she will use any material she can get her paws on (or, rather, her paints on). December is a loving mouse. Though much of her affection is for her husband, she has a special place in her heart for the Dibbuns. Since she's excited about the possibility of a child of her own, she spends every minute of her free time with the little ones. She tells stories, supervises finger-painting, and plays games with the babes. With her ever-present smile, her infectious laughter, and her seemingly endless jovial mood, December is a great favorite with the little ones. However, she's quite forgetful and a bit scatterbrained. The only things she ever can seem to focus on are her paintings. She tries hard to remember important things, and has even made up a rhyme for herself: "Remember, November, December, remember [. . .]" and then she adds whatever it is she needs to keep in mind at the end of the rhyme. She also has a bit of a sweet tooth, but don't tell the friar she stole that raspberry tart . . .
Strengths: An excellent artist, December can make mythical creatures appear almost real. She is smart, quick-witted, and she can take a joke. Loving and kind, she can comfort anybeast and put a smile on their face. She's devoted to her husband, and loyal to her friends in the abbey. An obedient little mouse, December knows who's in charge (i.e. the abbot), and she is faithful to the letter. She settles arguments directly and calmly and will publicly apologize if she has done another beast wrong.
Weaknesses: December cannot fight at all. She doesn't know any fighting techniques, paw-to-paw, swordplay, archery, nothing. Since she finds just about everything funny, she usually has a hard time being serious. She doesn't know when to stop laughing, sometimes. She has a bit of a short temper, and her comments can get quite hurtful when she's in the heat of an argument. Forgetful and at times a little scatterbrained, December has left many things unfinished due to loss of memory.
History: DeCerulean 'December' Embermore lived at Redwall all her life, born into a sweet little wood mouse family. She had five siblings, all older than she. Growing up at Redwall made her into the kind,c wring, lovable little mouse she is today. She learned decency and such things in school, as well as how to draw and paint. She discovered her talent for art and developed it with constant practice, eventually blossoming into a wonderful artist. (Three of her siblings have since left Redwall to start their own lives. The two who remain help around the abbey like she does.) As December grew older, she loved spending time with the Dibbuns, and could often be found playing with them most every day. It was her constant contact with the little ones that made her pine for a little family of her own. At the age of twenty, she met the mouse who would change her life forever. His name was Eliot, and he was a wandering warrior who had come to Redwall to stop and rest from his travels. He and December fell in love at first sight. Head over heels for each other, the two mice set off to travel the world at once. But during their first week of travel, they came across a vermin gang. Luckily, they were not far from Redwall, so Eliot took December back towards the abbey, fighting off the pursuing vermin as he went. It was an arrow to the heart that brought the warrior mouse down, and December was alone outside the gates of Redwall, weeping for her lost lover and absolutely terrified of the vermin hot on her tail. Some burly otters from the Skipper's crew let the mouse inside and fought off the vermin easily. December mourned for Eliot for a long time afterwards, but slowly, slowly, her broken heart began to heal. She spent time with a childhood friend of hers, a wood mouse named Miles Krell. He helped her through her emotional pain by comforting her with his smiles and hugs. Eventually, these two fell in love. It had been nearly five years since Eliot's death, and Miles judged the time to be just right. He proposed to December on her birthday, and she said yes. The two mice were married, with much joyous celebration, and December knows nobeast could make her happier than Miles can. Though her heart still aches whenever she thinks of Eliot, she doesn't dwell on the past, instead looking ahead to a bright future with her mate and hopefully future child.
Relationships: Five older siblings, two of which still live at the abbey. One helps in the infirmary, and the other helps the grounds keeper. Her aging parents, the Dibbuns, a slew of friends around the abbey, and of course her husband, Miles Krell.
Other: December received her hat from Miles after she painted him a picture of a purple dragon. He's a tailor as well as a decent fighter. December got her nickname from Miles when they were Dibbuns in abbey school. The teacher called her name "DeCerulean Embermore," aloud, and Miles gave the mousemaid a big smile and said, "Hiya, December!"

You mention her terrible memory a few times, so just do me the one favor of including that in her weaknesses.
Just do that, but I'll go ahead and accept. =)
