Nicknames/Aliases: Falco, Northwind, Devourer, Aquilon
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Species: Peregrine Falcon; Falco peregrinus
Occupation: Winds Cast - North Guardian
Physical Appearance:
General--Possessions:
Boreas' streamlined form gives him a perfect advantage against any clumsier bird of the skies. His sleek, pointed head is a rich shade of black, accenting the strips of creamy white that make up the feathers across his throat. The sharply curved beak making up his mouth is, likewise, a deep ebony in color, the upper part notched slightly in a weapon designed to sever bone. The sleek black of his head feathers runs down to his back, where it becomes a lighter blueish-black and spreads out across his massive wings. His long tail feathers are narrow and rounded at the end, copying the blue-black of his wing feathers and streaked with bands of creamy yellow-white. The feathers on his underbelly are a slightly stained white and barred with stripes of chocolate brown. His scaly feet are dark yellow, branching out into toes holding pointed black claws.
Attire--
A blue-gray bandanna the color of stormclouds is tied around his head, with a large 'N' stamped on it to represent North Wind.
Personality:
- Blue Bandanna
'If I am superior to others, if I am above others, then I do not need others.'Strengths:
This is basically Boreas's mindset - he feels like he doesn't need others in order to succeed, and usually questions why, exactly, he was put into the Winds Cast. Even though he knows full well it's because he's one of the best falcon warriors of his time, he still wonders. He puts up with his allies because he is forced to, and he usually lets them deal with any problems facing the Cast. That being said, he is also extremely pessimistic, looking at the dark side of life instead of the bright side, obeying orders with a kind of robotic resignation, because the glass is always half-empty. While not the most pleasant creature to be around, he has a pretty quick-working mind that makes it easy for him to get out of tight scrapes if he feels like putting it into action.
Weaknesses:
- Talented warrior (though he only uses his claws and beak to fight - whoever heard of a falcon using a sword?).
- Intelligent, he knows what he's doing but his superiority often makes him stupider then he should be.
History/Background:
- Pessimistic, usually leading to not seeing the good in situations which can be a dangerous thing.
- Superiority, so he doesn't accept help from others without being forced to, which can be bad, especially if he needs more then one creature to complete a mission.
Relationships:
Akos, as he was known at birth, seemed like everyone else; a reasonable fighter, as most falcons were, wasting little time on thinking and much more on acting. He was trained to fight when he was a little older, and his true potential was quickly realized; he was an elite warrior. His parents, boastful about this, were quickly tracked down by the Winds Cast, and he was requested to join under the name 'Boreas', meaning North Wind. Initially, his parents refused to let him join, but, as Boreas would later put it, the leader was 'very persusasive', meaning violent and used to getting his own way. So Boreas was taken and put into more training, where he began using intelligence to solve his problems, realizing it was a lot easier then mindless violence, especially when faced with the puzzles the leader often set up for him. He was then introduced to the other three members of the Cast - Notus, Eurus, and Zephyr. While he never became close friends with the three, he did learn to deal with them.
The other members of the cast - the four crows Kaikias, Apeliotes, Skiron, and Afer - seemed to be largely ignored, so Boreas hung out with them. They were quiet as well, a fact which probably didn't endear them to the chattier guardians, and Boreas passed most of his non-mission time with them, as he still does.
