Just to get things started and in the mood, let's begin with something basic, hm?
What is your favorite Redwall book?
Personally, my favorites are Marlfox, Martin the Warrior (I used to be able to memorize nearly the entire book word-for-word), and Taggerung.

Outcast of Redwall
It was a very good book. It didn't bore me...forcing me to read on. >D Some of the Redwall series does that to me. No, I actually wanted to read this book, which surprised me. ^_^

Aye, High Rhulain was probably one of the most boring for me. It just kept dragging on until the VERY end. As good as the plot was, I didn't like how everything sort of just crashed down in the last part of the book.

For me:
Outcast of Redwall: I loved the originality of this ones plot, and how it was also told from the villians point of view as much as from the hereos.
Followed by: Martin the Warrior-I loved him in this book, but after that he started to irk me, and lost a lot of the spitfire he had.
Probably the worst one for me was 'Redwall' , I probably wouldn't have finished the series if I had started with this one.

Hmm, actually, I didn't think Redwall was as bad as it could have been. I started with Mattimeo and almost lost interest before I even began. 'Piper' - Offhand, but did you know that a Piper is a kind of plane?

Outcast of Redwall definitely, that's what got me hooked on the series. Nice cover and even better story.
Triss was alright, I liked how it followed Triss' group and the other lot..The badger, hare and sea-otter I think. Though I'm probably only saying this because it was the second book I read.
Taggerung, the fact that I remember this book still after all these years means it must've been something, nice touch on the tribalness.
And Marlfox, gotta love all that backstabbing ;D.

I haven't actually picked up Marlfox. ^^' -guilty grin- I have it and all...but it never interested me. I might buy Outcast of Redwall one day. It was very good. -nods-
Yeah! I liked the storyline and the point of views told. ^_^ There aren't enough badger stories in Redwall that focus on the badgers. Maybe...three, all in all? I like reading 'bout the badgers. They be interesting characters. A villian and hero at the same time. ;D
Heh. I'm reading Triss at the moment. Just started. Umm...it's ok. Rather hard to understand some of the speech. ^^' -doesn't want to spoil anything, even just a small thing-

Loamhedge, Lord Brocktree I imagine would focus on badgers, if it doesn't I'll eat my assumption-hat.
Outcast of Redwall did..Triss does slightly..Salamandastron definitely did if I remember right.

My favorite out of all the Redwall books is definately Mossflower. I love Gnoff to death, and all his little songs. I used to have them memorized. I think it was one of the best books in the series.
Martin the Warrior is my second favorite; it was the first one I ever read. Well, I listened to it read on tape by BJ and cast, really. And that was how I fell in love with the books. =) So, it always has a special place.
I disliked Triss alot, especially the hare... I can't remember his name. Scarrum or something? That book was really annoying. =P Loamhedge was only redeemed by the plotline of Bragoon and... I can't remember the squirrel's name. They were two of the best characters ever.
Lord Brocktree[one of my other favorites] and Salamandastron focus almost entirely on the badgers. Otherwise, there just mainly secondary characters here and there in the books. My favorite species has always been the otters. =D
And I shall stop rambling now. ^_~

Bah! How could I forget Mossflower!? *Slaps forehead* I loved Dinny in that story and often named my vehicles the 'Wuddshipp' in video games >.>.
That one is definitely a classic. *Walks off rambling furiously*.

XD I think that's the best name they've ever given to a ship in the series.
Ooh, I still have to get me paws on Eulalia. Anybeast read it yet?

Definately. It just fits so perfectly. ;D
I got my paws on a copy of it just a few days ago, but I've yet to read it. I'm currently tied up in another book, which I need to finish before I start another. But I'm eager to read it -- I hope it's decent. =) If not as good as a Mossflower, then hopefully as good as a Rakkety Tam

I haven't read any of the new books since Rakkety Tam, then again I haven't read the entire series before that to begin with. I'm very far behind . I should ride down to the library these holidays if I get time to see if they have anything new...After I renew my card.

I'd have to say Mossflower is my favorite, followed closely by Pearls of Lutra and Taggerung. But it's hard to choose really, there are so many good ones. Though I haven't read the latest one, Eulalia, yet.
