Physical Appearance:
General—Blackbeak's feathers are jet-black with intresting white markings underneath the wings. His beak is dark black as his name suggests. His talons are the colour of light silver. Eyes are dark, muddy brown with small flecks of white. His throat feathers are also white. A scar traces down his back and he is missing one talon, which his father pulled off when he was just an eggchick(see history.) He is missing a few tail-feathers as well.
Possessions:
Blackbeak carries nothing except his talons and beak to fight with.
Personality: Blackbeak has a very strange personality, unlike most sparra. For one, he loves the water and he can't explain why. He is careless at times, but always tends to do what he knows is right. He treats all the sparra under him like equals, which is strange coming from a king. He will protect them at the cost of his own life. He is actually a very smart creature, although he may not seem it at times.

History/Background: Blackbeak was born a long time ago when his mother and father were queen and king. They always knew he would be a strange sparra ever since he flew down to the water and actually flapped around in it, enjoying himself. From then on they were very strict when they addressed him. And that caused strange behavior in his father.
Believing it would toughen his son up and stop his strange behaviors, Weal Silvertalon ripped out one of Blackbeak's talons when Blackbeak was one year old. His father just sat there and watched it bleed while the infant cried out in pain.
As the years went on, Blackbeak and his father grew more and more hostile to each other until the hostility formed into a fight to the death. Blackbeak killed his father by driving a shard of rock into the sparra king's throat. Though his mother wept for days, Blackbeak paid no attention to her. The sparra threw his father's body out of the window and into the Abbey Pond where the hate from his now-dead father had started.
Years passed until the one fateful day when Blackbeak's mother, Zarka Silvertalon, went out on a hunting expedition to find 'wormfood'. It was nearly evening when Blackbeak's mother returned, a huge scratch in her chest. She never told Blackbeak where it came from, leaving him to wonder...
Five days later, as Blackbeak Silvertalon woke up, he discovered his mother had died in her sleep. He wept for the rest of the day, fell asleep, and woke up the next morning realizing it was not all bad, for now he was the new king sparra!
