Name: Beau Bilgefur( First name dropped called 'Bilge' or 'Bilgey)

Occupation:Second Mate aboard the Swiftraider
Physical Appearance:
Dirty. Bilge is simply a dirty little creature, it's almost as if his light yellow tinted fur is a magnet to dirt and various debris, whether its on board the ship, on the sea, or on a raid. So his white-blonde fur is more of a splotchy Gray color. Compared to the rest of the crew his clothes are rather tear free, for the most part the rat wears a dark brown, or Gray tunic, the Gray one having a brown patch at waist height, that is a hidden pocket.
Did I mention that this rat was tiny? Well he is. His thin body frame stands barely at the shoulders of most other creatures on board, whether this is due to the lack of nourishment of a infant, or just that he was made to be small is unknown.
Eyes match the color of the mud he often has over him. A light mahogany, the same as the ships deck is often what is used to describe this little fellows eyes.
he's good at eavesdropping. As his larger then normal ears indicate. At the end of his muzzle he has a dark brown nose. Directly under his buttocks the little rat has a light pink(color usually indiscernible) worm like tail, the only real thing that differs him from a mouse.
Possessions
Bilgey doesn't have many possessions.So the few things he calls his own are extremely precious to him:
Steel Spikes-These are his main weapon, little spheres of steel studded with spikes, and nail heads, perfect if you have a sling(which he does, beat up it may be.) and good eye. He has five of these, and makes them in the kitchen using leftover cutlery.
Mace- If he needs a larger weapon he pulls out his child sized mace from the folds of his baggy shirt. The same scheme as the nasty Spikes except with a larger surface area and sharper objects to bludgeon creatures with, being a pacifist Bilge doesn't use it much.
Wooden Necklace-A small necklace of wooden beads, he usually wears the tight chain around his neck, although sometimes he ties it around his wrists and turns it into a bracelet.
Personality:
Friendly. Bilge is very kind and cuddly. lacking the gruffness attributed to msot rats and the rebellious tendencies attributed to teenagers.
Bilge is also a extreme pacifist. Fighting, and killing unless in self defense is something he will not do! the last plan he will ever make is one that involves killing.
Give the dog a bone, loyal and sensible are two traits that define most canids, the same is true for this odd little rat. Loyal is what he is, if your his friend he would follow you to the ends oof the earth, and do anything you ak except murder someone in cold blood. In that sense he is quite stubborn. Sensible is another word used to drscribe Bilge. He will not go out of his way to completely something in a obscure manner when a obvious solution is right in front of him.
Gullible. Throw him almost any tale that makes the least bit of sense and he is very likely going to belive it. Perfect target for conmen. It seems as a if his instinct telling him not to go near certain creatures was flicked off, permanently. As was his ability to detect lying.

Bilge was born on the swiftraider, the son of a middle aged Rat cook, and a seasoned warrior under the old captain Swordfang. Tori and him often played in the kitchen even though his mom had forbidden it. The day Tori took over the ship he was there, and managed to let his own mother and father escape, with the help of Tori, and without Toriphess's knowledge.
Bile was grateful to her for that, and was one of the original crew left with a weak station. Of course that was due to his age. Still he was incredibly close to Tori, following his friend around and hiding from the larger beasts.
Soon after Tori was pronounced co-captain he was nominated as her second mate. The Little rat does hsi job to the best of his abilities, and thinks of Tori as more like a big sister thn anything. the little rat hates Steelfur, and doesn't love Toriphess, his parents had told him about how he had been the one to trash his siters life.

- Loyalty-Bilge is the definition of Loyalty. He would throw himself into a volcano if he thought it would help his captain.
- Sensible- Young though he may be Bilge does posses a pretty wise head on his shoulders. Many of his schemes are so deviously simple, that they overshadow his mistress's more complicated ones.
- Great Shot- When he does use his weapons this little rat rarely misses.
Weaknesses:
- Inability to lie well- When confronted with a lie Bilge will often start stuttering, or crying. Always giving himself away in the process.
- Lack of Muscular Strength- Anything that involves a lot of muscle power is beyond this little fellow, which isn't good on a ship like the Swift Raider.
- Clumsy- That he is. If its valuable you do not let him near it, although he is tenacious enough to go retrieve it for you if he drops it and doesn't break it, which is rare indeed.
