Occupation: Scarlet Rose Songtree wanders in Mossflower Wood but sometimes will stay on a 'vacation' at Redwall where they have a room for her.
Physical Appearance:
Scarlet is a tall, slim, muscular squirrel, with a short, curved torso and long arms and legs with small paws. She normally wears a white poets tunic along with a pair of black trousers that have a rose colored belt around the hips that fastens with a circular bronze buckle set with jet stones. On cold nights she will wear a black caplet that ties with a thin black satin ribbon. Around her throat she wears a black satin ribbon, about an inch wide, and ties it into a small bow on the side of her neck. Her ears are pierced with two rose colored pearls from the western sea. Her red gold fur is very soft and thick and it shines in the sunlight. She has misty, green blue eyes, that are deep and mysterious, though always have a bit of taunting laughter to them.
Possessions
Dangling from the right side of her belt a silver dagger with an intricately etched design of roses and buds upon the blade and a gold painted leather bound handle. On the left side a simple rapier with a half basket hilt sways with her sprightly walk. Hanging down across her chest on her hip is a canteen filled with homemade shrew beer. Across her back is a small pearl colored quiver with 2 dozen arrows in it, tipped with gull feathers, and a longbow. A small burgundy colored pouch holds her belongings: A small coil of rope , a crystal which concentrates the energy of the sun to start a fire with, flint and tinder, and a gold ring with a jet stone inset in it, which she wears on special occasions.
Personality:
Scarlet is a bright, fun-loving creature though she is quiet and a deep thinker. She acts a little shy around others but becomes animated once she gets to know them VERY well. She is a fierce warrior but hardly act like one outside the battle field. Scarlet acts mysterious, fierce and elegant all at one time, a graceful warrior with deep thoughts and dreams.
Strengths:
Being extremely patient and a quick thinker always pays off for Scarlet and having high stamina, she can go for a long time, whether fighting, running or anything else. Honorable and loyal, she makes a good trustworthy friend, easy to lean on when you have heavy troubles. Excellent shot with her bow and arrow, though she still misses sometimes she is an excellent warrior all around.
Weaknesses:
Sassy to bossy creatures and high temper too, she gets into a lot of fights with those kind of creatures. Short tempered with stubborn creatures though she herself is hard headed and extremely stubborn, and because of this often gets into trouble with Father Abbot. Not good at remembering little dibbuns names, for they all look alike to her.
History:
My parents were part of a large squirrel village long ago in the north. Then Gazada the fox and his army came and fought battle with us. Pa fought gallantly but was taken in the battle by a spear through his side, and my brother went down too. Ma and I along with several other mothers and little ones escaped to a secret cave by a waterfall. Little more that 2 score of our warriors returned declaring they had won the battle and saved the mothers and little ones but at great a cost. Many a father and mate, son and brother were lost in the battle with Gazada, including my father and brother. The village then decided that they should move to Redwall to live out their lives and raise their children in peace. Ma died 13 years after of influenza. The last three years have been hard, but Scarlet still lives on in her life as a warrior at the Redwall and a wanderer in Mossflower woods.
Relationships:
Her Mother, Alethia Songtree, and herself got along well and when her mother died she didn't get over it for nearly a year.
Her Father, Arontone Songtree, she hardly remembers for he was lost in a great battle when she was a wee little one.
Her Brother, Sarlintone Songtree, she hardly remembers for he too was taken in the great battle with Gazada along with her father.
