Name: Argyros Silverfur NOTE: 'ARGYROS' MEANS 'SILVER' IN GREEK' Nicknames/Aliases: Argy [[Ahah, Lotus. xD]] Gender: Male Age: Sixty-Seven Seasons NOTE: SIXTY-SEVEN SEASONS = 17 YEARS AND APPROX. NINE MONTHS Species: Arctic Fox, Neutral Occupation: Although he has no specific job in Mossflower woods, he mainly scouts around the outskirts of the forest with Cressida, hunting down small groups of vermin. Being quite young for fighters, the two aren't exactly successful. Most of the time, the two youngsters simply take to having their own little 'expeditions' in the wilderness, exterminating any evilhearted vermin whenever they come across them. Once provisions run low, Cressa and Argy head back to Redwall and stock up again before traveling out again. They have no specific, organized lifestyle; whatever happens happens. Physical Appearance: General-- He looks very similar to his mother, which is very assumable. The overall texture of his fur is very much similar to the others of his species: a white-ish color. However, the only unusual trait about his lush pelt is that it has an odd, lithium-like sheen to it. Although it appears white at first sight, whenever the light reflects off of it [[or at night]], it glints a beautiful argentate color. Unlike his friend, Cressa, his fur is long and lush - just as all other arctic fox's. Although she feels that this may become a hassle in the future when the two are aiming for stealth, he takes pride in his sleek, glossy fur.
Most of the time, you can find him wearing a sly, rather smug expression. Argy is, in fact, very conceited and charming, especially around the ladies. He hates being called too 'young' in order to participate in an activity; chances are, he'll sneak along anyways. Being a stereotype fox, he could be considered the prince of thieves in a way. The charm that dances back and forth in his dark cerulean eyes [[another trademark of the Silverfurs]] is almost intoxicating. His appearance is generally friendly and enamoring. Argy is especially alluring around Redwall dibbuns.
His overall frame is thin and lean despite his well-chiselled chest. It would be extremely hard to prove that he has excess fat on his body, and Argy knows it. Because of this, he allows his handsome appearance to assist his flirtatious jokes. Around his thin, lithe waist is a belt that has five stilettos hooked tightly onto it. The stilettos inside them are his true treasures, and because they're on his left-hand side, it's easy for him to whip them out in less than a blink of an eye.
Attire-- His clothing is generally the same every single day. The silver, almost glittery tunic that he dons is actually quite an expensive article of clothing; most assume that he stole it from a visiting merchant. The belt on his waist is made of a precious type of leather, and Thornwort gave it to him to carry his stilettos. Most of the time, he simply wears the stilettos and the tunic, but in the middle of an important ambush with Cressida, he wears black fingerless gloves over his fore paws. Unlike other thieves, Argy doesn't necessarily have a pouch of thieving items. Most of the time, he only uses his sharp stilettos with the occasional rope thrown in here and there. Possessions: Mentioned several times before, his main treasured possessions are the five stilettos that hang around his waist. In fact, these are so fond to him that he's even given them epithets. The first one, being the longest and undoubtedly the thinnest, he gave the name 'Thornwort' after his mother. The second, which was much more stout and short, he named Pegasus (meaning 'strong'). The third, which both short and skinny, he named Hoyt (meaning 'thin'). The fourth, a dagger used for lockpicking more than fighting, he named Dismas (meaning 'thief'). Last but not least, the fifth one is an almost exact replica of Thornwort, and he named it Euturpe (meaning 'double'). Although each of these stilettos have different purposes, Argy's most used ones are Thornwort and Hoyt (with the occasional Euturpe here and there).
The only other special item he has is a thick bracelet made from hemp twine. Although there are only a few beads entwined into it, he considers it very special to him (just as Cressa adored her necklace). Personality: It would be impossible for one to be wrong if he or she calls him a prince. Argyros is incredibly conceited and full of himself, often taking to boasting arrogantly about nonexistant deeds he has fulfilled for others (typically kings and other wealthy merchants according to his tales). He takes extreme pride in everything he's done, especially feats that he tends to exaggerate. His accomplisments, combined with a few bits of amplification here and there, make him popular among the Redwall dibbuns when it comes to story-telling. However, no one can doubt his thieving and fighting skills with his rare stilettos.
His skills with the daggers are incredible, for he's able to do various things simple with the thin, almost needle-width blades. Using his mother's old weapons [[that were passed down to him]], he can pick almost any lock, can throw them extremely accurately, along with various other skills. Most of the time, Argy takes to protecting Cressida from close-range attacks. However, when he gets the chance, he'll take no hesitation to give Hoyt, his main throwing stiletto, a few spins and reduce the numbers of enemies by one unit. Like some many other thieves, he is extremely crafty and artistic, especially with his paws. In fact, it's almost ironic for others when they discover that he is very interested in the fine arts (especially music). Despite his naturally artistic sense, Argyrose makes a terrible chef.
He is extremely cunning and witty, being able to act or lie his way out of most cases of trouble. Despite his charming, daredevil personality, he does have his brief moments of austerity.. especially in the midst of battle. When planning out strategies or battle plans, Argy drops all pretense of humor and games and becomes a focus, solemn isatis. Strengths: Mentioned several times before, his main strength is his cunning skill with his stilettos, especially Thornwort and Hoyt during battle. Dismas is more used for thieving and lockpicking, which is yet another one of his crafty strengths. Aside from his clever fighting skills, there's not much else that Argy is useful for aside from moral support. Weaknesses: He is absolutely dreadful at cooking and any sort of foodmaking. Most of his time in the kitchen is spent pinching pies and other delicassies that he can manage to steal. Argy has a slight tendency to get carried away in his flirting methods and even his story-telling. More than once, Cressida has to warn him to keep his tales realistic, or she would let the secret loose. Being a very gallant and conceited figure, the arctic fox is always jealous when others do better than him. However, unlike others, he can control his envy by trying to outperform the other, or turn things into a joke. History/Background: Parents: Thornwort Silverfur and Scipio Silverfur Siblings: Sister named Amaryllis, currently deceased. Bloodline: Neutral
His mother, Thornwort, was very good friends with Maybell in their adolescent days. However, as the two grew up, a rift seperated them. They rejoined together a few years later to find that each of them had a child and a mate. That was the first day that Argy met Cressa, and although the two could hardly walk and talk, they already clicked like a lock and key.
As he grew up, his mother began teaching him more and more about defending himself in the wild. Of course, Argy never took her seriously and promptly failed all of her lessons. To her surprise, however, when he reached the age of 11 years, he took on a newfound passion for throwing daggers and thieving. This was discovered much to her surprise when his mother stumbled upon her son throwing daggers at a niche in the tree. She noticed his accuracy and, emboldened, took him to more difficult steps. For once in his life, the mischeivous fox prince listened to her.
Then, suddenly, Cressa discovered some wonderful idea about running away so her mother would appreciate her more. When Argyros pointed out that Thornwort treated him like she should have, the aurulate squirrel easily persuaded him to her side with her persuasive tongue. The two took everything they could carry and stole away in the middle of the night. Thornwort and Maybell awoke with shock and fear, but when they returned to Redwall in hopes of finding their childrens' whereabouts, the kindly Redwallers informed them that the two youngsters had stopped along the way for a brief visit before setting off into the depths of Mossflower. Relieved, Thornwort convinced her flustered friend to give the two time on their own so they could learn about the world first-hand.
Argy and Cressa have been together ever since. Relationships: Other: [/blockquote]
