Name: Cressida Orchid DeLuna NOTE:: 'CRESSIDA' MEANS 'GOLD' IN GREEK Nicknames/Aliases: Cressie, Cressa, etc. Gender: Female Age: Sixty-Four Seasons NOTE: a.k.a. SEVENTEEN YEARS Species: Squirrel Occupation: Although she has no specific job in Mossflower woods, she mainly scouts around the outskirts of the forest with Argyros hunting down small groups of vermin. Being quite young for fighters, the two aren't exactly successful. Most of the time, the two youngsters simply take to having their own little 'expeditions' in the wilderness, exterminating any evilhearted vermin whenever they come across them. Once provisions run low, Cressa and Argy head back to Redwall and stock up again before traveling out again. They have no specific, organized lifestyle; whatever happens happens. Physical Appearance:General-- Cressa appears almost like an exact duplicate of her mother. Her fur, a delicate and lovely golden sheen, is oftentimes glossy [[but not to the extent that it's greasy or oily]]. The strands of hair are generally short, making things much more convenient for her when swimming or swinging through trees. The longer her coat is, the more likely it is to snag onto branches; not only that, but she'll have to clean it more often in order to keep debris out of her pelt. Being slightly vain and arrogant, Cressie has her own 'rule' of having to groom herself twice daily. Where she received this trait from, her parents never knew, but it keeps her personal hygeine up.
However, unlike Maybell, her eyes are not a deep brilliant shade of violet. Although they look like a warm shade of hazel or caramel, upon closer inspection they are actually an odd, obscure tone of a rusty, mahogany color that leans more towards the orange side. It's extremely unusual for a squirrel to be born with these eye colors, but then again, her family has always been infamous for their unusual appearance.
Cressida's body form is generally athletic. Although she is attractively slender, her thighs and hind legs are extremely thick from the muscle. Most of the time, she uses her hind legs to push off of branches and whatnot; even when she's running, she has a tendency to hop in short, jerky strides similar to hares instead of in graceful bounds.
Attire-- Like most of the other woodlanders, she usually wears a silver-colored tunic. Although Cressa's never given specific details on why she chooses to wear this metallic sheen, some suspect it's because it brings her one step closer to her best friend, Argyros [[who's signature color is lithium]]. Usually hung around her neck, you can always find her wearing a necklace with a pendant made from lapus lazuli. Not many take the time to inspect her jewelry closer, but she is extremely proud of the crescent moon engraved into the wood; a good piece of advice to acquaintances is to never question about her taste of necklaces. It was given to her directly by her mother, and anyone who offends it will find themselves in a very sorry fix. Possessions: Just as her family traditions go, Maybell Eve DeLuna gave her daughter her own possessions. However, her mother only gave her the whitewood bow. In the side are intricate carvings and designs that [[or at least Cressa thinks]] are symbols that stand for her grandmother's old tribe that she belonged to. Along with the bow [[she considers this more of an accessory]], she was given the same quiver her mother used. Most of the time it hangs on her left side and is usually stocked with arrows that she makes herself in the wilderness. Notice that I mentioned it was on her left side, meaning that Cressa is left-handed. Therefore, this means that she has absolutely no short-range weapon; she doesn't exactly need one though - Argyros protects her from most close attacks while she fights from a distance. Personality: Quiet unlike her mother, Cressida is unusually vain and arrogant of herself. She takes huge pride in her appearance, especially her fur and banner-like tail. She has an odd tendency to break out grooming in the middle of a conversation; some claim this helps relieve her stress, and others simply say it's because she has such a huge ego.
She is assumably athletic and very fit. After all, her body is slender and extremely well-built (especially around her flanks). When she reaches her apprentice age, Cressida's skills at hunting and tracking will be slightly poorer than everyone else's, but her fighting skills are already at the top of tree. She has rather advanced battle strategies, not to mention that her flexible body allows her to twist and turn whenever necessary. Fortunately, fighting at her age isn't necessary, so it'll be quite a while before this squirrel learns was battling is actually about. She has yet to learn the pain of losing those of whom she loves. However, during battle [[despite not knowing what it feels lie to lose a loved one]], she is extremely rational and critical about her moves, oftentimes planning out strateges before taking action. Of course, she does have rash moments like everyone else, but these are relatively rare.
When it comes to popularity in the camp, she's relatively well off. Some of the toms actually find her rather 'attractive' for being able to cope with her unusual appearance instead of sulking like others would do. Especially in her juvenile age, she is rather picky about the opposite gendr. Just like the others, when Cressa reaches adult age, she'll become much more pulchridutinous in appearance; that's when she'll actually begin thinking about her future.
Conversing with her is extremely difficult for others. Although some of her closest friends find her completely understandable and reasonable, some may become irritated by her lack of response (even if it's not her fault). Most of the time she'll respond with a nod, a head-shake, or a shrug if it's a direct question. When displaying emotions, other have to look closely at her expression. Most of the time it'll be carefree and pleasant, but like everyone else, she can have mood swings. The most common time for Cressie to be feeling in the blues is when it rains. She has an odd tendency to feel unusually depressed during any form of precipitation; the only exception is snow.
First impressions are a big deal for her. Most of the time she judges others by their first meeting (or simply what she thinks of them by sight). If said creature looks snobby and unsocial, she'll make sure to steer clear of his or her path. However, her theory has been proven wrong multiple times - especially by her best friends. Although Cressida is extremely biased and judgemental, she is usually open to anyone who wants to be friends with her. The only exception if she has an outright hatred for said beast.
Another huge role in her personality and daily life is her jealousy. Unlike others, she grew up being taught that she had to perform better than everyone else. She can quote the exact words that her father told her: "You can always aim for something better." Although she rejected this lifestyle at first, she eventually began to fall into pace with her competitive parents. Cressa is obviously book-smart, but she lacks street brains. Sure, she is one of the cleverest squirrels, but when it comes to actually doing things, she falls in second place ... and when you've grown up with her parents, taking second place is just like loosing. Therefore, she refuses to believe that anything she says is wrong, and if she's proven wrong, then she will become infuriated. After all, her mates expect her to know everything. Both her reputation and image will be smudged if her fellows found out that she was wrong at some things.
Another characteristic almost out-of-the-ordinary for someone who is normally friendly and carefree is that she has an extremely short temper. The main thing to watch out for is annoying her; she can deal with emotional anger. However, when she is continuously bothered, Cressida has a tendency to try and ignore said creature in the future. During the time of annoyance, she will become heated and stubborn, oftentimes taking to sulking and replying to everything with a barbed tongue. Strengths: As mentioned several times before, Cressa's appearance plays towards her personality. She is considered attractive among the males at Redwall, but because she hardly spends any time within the great sandstone abbey, her name is hardly known there (let alone her existance). Also having a bow as her only weapon, she is understandably a very good marksman [[as all squirrels are]] and she is extremely talented [[especially with long-distance shots]]. Cressie is extremely book-smart, knowing many scientific things. She also has a good heart with good intentions, she just simply gets lost along the way. Weaknesses: Although she is incredibly book-smart, she lacks common sense. Often scared of trying anything new lest she humiliate herself, Cressida is extremely hesitant to do anything out of the ordinary, especially if it involves using her paws for 'paws-on' activities. Despite her reluctance to be embarassed, she is always eager to brag about her archery skills to anybeast within distance to hear. This is one extremely awkwad characteristic in her personality that contrasts with her almost anti-social trait [[of which she undoubtedly received from her mother]]. Having never attempted using swords, Cressa is understandably slow when it comes to close-range weapons. Then again, Argy always protects her from uncomfortable attacks, and she really has no need to learn any more skills as of now. History/Background: Parents: Maybelle Eve DeLuna [[father is unknown and presumed dead]] Siblings: None
She was born on the exact opposite of her mother - midnight on the first day of summer. Because of this, Maybelle believed that she was bound to be special, especially in the hottest weather. The whitewood bow and the lapus lazuli pendant mentioned above were given to her right after she was born.
However, as she grew up and began to explore the world around her, Cressa became more and more obsessed with herself than her surroundings. This arrogant habit was cracked by her mother when she was but six years old. Since then, she tries to put other before herself.. even if it's not always successful. She was trained to use the bow when she was barely seven years old. Even then, the tough bowstring would cut into her paws, making them bleed sorely. Against her mother's protests, she continued to practice her archery until she was undoubtedly one of the best marksmen in her age group.
Then she was introduced to Argyros Silverfur. The two bonded immediatey. His mischeivous, 'foxy' behavior clicked almost instantly with Cressa's witty and intelligent brain. Together, the pair could outwit anyone.. especially with the help of the arctic fox's deadly stilettos. Fortunately, the two hung out very often seeing as their mothers were both the best of friends.
Soon, their own plans began to swing into action when they begun training together at the age of 12 years. After four years of straight training [[which sadly went quite unnoticed by both of their parents]], the two took off on their own adventure and have been stopping at Redwall every month or so to restock on provision. First off, though it looks like an excellent profile in the works, we go by human years here. A four-year-old is not going to run around Mossflower slaying things.

Whoaz, I didn't recognize you for a moment there, missy. Welcome back! Aye, it is unrealistic, but it makes things easier in terms of age relation. ;]
Looks awesome, by the way. Approved. Welcome back, Cressida.
