Grath Swiftflight marched swiftly along the mountain path. She was following several days behind a large company of hares, with a few other creatures. One was a squirrel she knew well, but, though the otter found several otter tracks, she knew it wasn't the one she sought. Still, the hares at Sali had told her these hares were headed towards the battle with WARR.
Grath cursed herself for not going with Saki in the first place. If he had been injured in her absence... lets just say she'd beat some vermin 'master race' pride out of a few beasts.
Alone, she traveled faster than the large group of hares and was quickly catching up on the march. Just a couple more days before she would not march alone.

Not far behind the otter, the leaves russtled, but not from the breeze. She was being followed!
He was travaling much quicker than her. he had only left two days ago from his camping spot and now, he was only a few yards behind her.
It had been so long since they had spoken. He had no idea what to say. Regardless, it was better to walk out and show himself then risk spooking her and having her fire at him.
He stepped from the trees onto the path and quietly said her name. "Grath?"

He stepped from the trees onto the path and quietly said her name. Grath's paw tightened on the dagger at her belt. Someone had been following her for the last few miles that she knew of. She tensed, turning swiftly on the ball of one footpaw. And stared, open-mouthed.
"Grath?"
Grath immediately relaxed her battle stance, though she remained tense. He had been following her? She'd missed him but she hadn't been prepared for this.
"Saki?"

He swallowed, his eyes never leaving her dark green eyes. The last year hadn't changed her appearance much. She looked a little more scruffy, more worried but still the same old Grath. He stumbled forward, tripping slightly over his large feet. Normally, he was able to walk fine, despite their size but he wasn't really paying attention the the way he was walking.
Without really knowing how, he found himself only a few feet in front of her. She was taller than he, but not by much. He opened his mouth, as if to speak, but couldn't say anything.

Grath, for her part was a little less shock-immersed. Saki was wearing a uniform, which gave evidence to the fact that he had gone to war with his comrades. Compulsively, she leaned the few inches forward required and hugged the otter tightly.
Letting go, she kept hold of his shoulders and glared at him. "Ah told ye once before not to go off t'war wi'out me!"
She let him go and folded her arms, raising an eyebrow in silent question and challenge.

A grin spread across his tight face, the regular glimmer returning to his eyes. "Ah had no flippin' choice marm!" He removed his hat and bowed. "That ole badger guy made me, wot!" Of course, that wasn't entirely true. Saki was young and itching for a good, old fashioned brawl. He had jumped at the chance to go off to war. Of course, he was worried about Grath, but he had been hoping something like this would happen. That he would beet her on the battle field or before. He wanted her to be by his side when he went to fight for the good creatures of mossflower.
