Fort Brandytooth, a far southern out post of Salamandastron, protecting their interests at the furthest reach of their power. It fort was built on the ruins of an earlier fort, while guarding the southern frontier, historians and scientists have been excavating the ruins. Every two months the fort would sent a messenger to report on the events in the south, but these past four months have seen no replies from the fort. Fearing the worst, Salamandastron has sent a division to the fort to assist in any emergency that may have arisen, but they are three weeks away. Meanwhile, the locals in the area stumble across the fort, and what ever may be inside.
Varelo walked along the cliff side quietly to him self. E knew he was close to an encampment by the existence of the trail he was walking on, but to where, he often traveled to remote locations to get away from Redwall and find him self in nature, but never had he found another settlement, or at least evidence of one so far out.
