Nassu put a hand to cover his mouth as laughter threatened to over take him. He couldn't help himself and let out a peal of laughter at Oaklea's comment. "Yeah that it can be." he said struggling to control himself.
Once he got himself under control, he looked over the railing. It was quite a long way. He smiled and turned to Oaklea. "Well marm, today's just as good as any other day." Nassu walked over and put one leg over the other side of the banister. " Now you just push." and with that he was gone. He was sliding faster than he ever had before.

"yes, Cluny was killed many scores of seasons ago mate, and as far as I know we haven't seen hide nor tail of any vermin for several seasons."
Travi nodded, and continued to berate himself in his mind...SEE!...No virmen....Naw get yer head back in da real warld mate!.......
"I doubt I could charm anything. You, sir, have a gift."
Phuft...Travi scoffed. " Aye! 'e 'ave a gift alright!" Travi was annoyed by Brightly, and it happened often. Maybe it was the fact that Travi had to compete with him for being the comical charm, and Brightly never did anything wrong, so he always got first prize.
"That's right. I came up here to get over my fear of heights and slide down the railing."
Travi tried to withhold concealed laughter. Her? Oaklea? The mouse who had a hard time coming up the stairs was here to slide down the railing? Now THAT was funny!
"Could someone please remind me to keep away from the strawberry fizz? It's as muddling as mead."
"Yeah that it can be."
Travi finally couldn't hold it any longer, and let out a brief laugh. "Ha ha ha....O' yea' mate! Da stuff be strong, but it ain't dat bad w'en ye be used ta it."
"Well marm, today's just as good as any other day..... Now you just push."
Travi watched Nassu wosh down the rail as he turned to Oaklea and said, "Aye dat be fun, but it be better ta da dis..." As Travi said this he stretched his arms out and flung himself backward off the platform between the two bells.
He fell weightlessly through the air. As he fell, Travi rotated his body weight and spun in a few circles, until he abruptly stopped, catching himself on the knots on the end of the ropes, two feet off the floor, and with his arms straight out from his body the ropes quivered a bit, but they did not ring.....

Nassu got to the bottom of the stairs just about the time that Travi made it. He gasped when he saw him dangling there. "Oye mate, are you alright?"

Oaklea was ready to growl a biting response at the otter, but then he flew into space.
Letting out an involuntary yelp (and cursing herself immediately after), Oaklea stared at the twirling sailor as he plummeted to the floor. Eyes wide with something between awe and horror, she looked first at Nassu, then Tavi down on the floor.
Forcing herself to swallow, she inhaled deeply and muttered something under her breath that could curdle strawberry fizz. Peering down and gripping the rail tightly, Oaklea shoved down the icy foreboding thrashing in her stomach and gave a weak chuckle.
"I think I'll just ride the rail down, thanks!"

"Oye mate, are you alright?"
Travi shifted his body weight so he spun on the ropes like a gymnast on the hoops and vaulted himself safely off the ropes, landing flat on his hind-paws unscathed.
"Aye mate! Ah've ne'er been better!" Travi said with a bow, flaunting off his skills was always fun for him, especially when every other beast was petrified afterwards....
"I think I'll just ride the rail down, thanks!"
Travi rolled his eyes at Oaklea's nervous responce...
"Spoil sport."

Nassu heard Oaklea's response and saw a mass of fur coming down at him. He quickly leapt off the end of the railing to get out of the way. He started chuckling at the sight of her and the screech that followed.

"Not funny," muttered the mousemaid, clutching the rail and glaring daggers at the pair. After a moment of hesitation, she decided it was rather funy after all.
That, and the fact that her claws were stuck in the rail was somewhat hilarious.

Travi snickered as Oaklea whooshed down the banister. Her screech was so funny! It was amusing to see anyone go down a railing that went down like that!
"Not funny,"
Travi chuckled louder along with Nassu as he watched Oaklea try to glare at them when her claws were sticking the railing from sliding down with them gripping the railing like a maniac.
"Ha...ha.....Oooooooo....Dat's funny!....he he haaa.... Ye need 'elp marm?...ha ha...Ha.." Travi was able to gasp out between jolts of laughter.
