((No posting order. Just join and have fun! )) An otter sat on a tree stump. He had just finished his small, simple breakfast of scones. He looked about him at the dense forest, which was under the silencing spell of winter. The otter was not cold, for he donned a cloak he had received form the hares of the northern mountains. Besides, this creature liked the cold. He breathed out slowly and deliberately, watching his breath fog through the chilly air. Ice melted from the trunks of trees as the sun rose, gradually warming the land. The otter rose. He decided that it was time to move on from his temporary camp. He was on his way to Redwall Abbey, hoping the journey would end soon. The otter didn't like to be alone. He recalled his trek into mountain hare territory to get his mind out of the gloom of loneliness. The otter fought along side the hares on a campaign against vermin, and became a fine young warrior through it all. His honorary title, given by the perilous mountain hares, ringed in his mind. The Galloglaich! It meant "Young, foreign warrior." He said his name aloud to himself, "Daniel... The Galloglaich..."

((first time roleplaying for me , lets try this out shall we )) The soothing sounds of morning slowly swept through Mossflower, lifting the banner of darkness that was night. Various birds were starting there morning songs and the trickling waters of Rivermoss aided the surreal atmosphere. the eastern sky was filled with pink yellow and cream colored clouds, while the western was still dark blue in slumber. The suns soft golden rays managed to penetrate the foliage of mossflower woods and inch their way through the woods, refreshing ever fiber of all whom it touched. The sun eventually found an an otter sleeping soundly with his back propped up against a large bolder. Komali ryken slowly opened his dark green eyes as a wave of warmth surged through his body, giving him goosebumps. He Welcomed it with open arms after the cold wind that blanketed him under the cover of night. Rising slowly, Komali gave a much needed stretch, and sniffed the air. It was nice and crisp with remnants of the fire he had cooked on the day before. After giving a long gaping yawn, Komali opened his travel pack and took out a few scones and a cool canister of mint tea that would serve as his breakfast. carefully he started another small fire and let the flames lick the bottom of his canister, raising it to almost a boil. then he warmed his scones up by the fire. Komali much preferred warm meals to start off his day. The large otter then sat down on a fallen sycamore and began enjoying his warm breakfast, the smell drifting off into the woods...

((Glad to have y'all along!))
The Galloglaich was making his way through the grand trees of Mossflower when he stopped. He could barely make it out, but his eyes told him that there was a dot of light wavering in the distance. He stared a little longer just to make sure, and then continued on his way towards it. When he was close enough, Daniel realized it was a fire: a very small one. He was a bit surprised that he could see it from a long distance at all.
Daniel was no fool. He would make sure that he wasn't walking in to danger. The Gallogliach took cover behind a tree and crept to the side in order to peer around, hopefully without being noticed. Then he smiled. "Another otter!" Daniel thought. The other otter was certainly more experienced looking than Daniel. It seemed as though he was a battle-hardened beast. Daniel was bigger and stronger-looking, but he knew not to get on this beast's bad side, just for his own sake. Nevertheless, the less cautious side of him spurred him right over to the fire and the other beast.
Spending so much time with the mountain hares gave Daniel a unique version of speech. He didn't possess the northern accent, but he lost his typical otter accent. With his neutralized accent, he called to the otter, "Top of the morning to you, sir! Quite nice out, eh?" Daniel gave the stranger a polite and friendly smile.

"Top of the morning to you, sir! Quite nice out, eh?"
“Aye, an’ tae ye.” Came a voice, deep and slightly hoarse. “Enjoy your breakfast th’ no, laddie?” She said to Komali. It was hard to tell the exact direction of the voice, as the owner of it sat in a tree, relaxed against the trunk. She was a black squirrel, obviously a warrior with her worn clothing and the twisting scar that scored across her face. Her eyes were closed, but she opened the good one now to observe Daniel closely.
“An’ o’ course ye ‘ave been visitin’ th’ Hielander ‘ares.” It was a shrewdly placed guess, and she sat back with a nod at his reaction. Like all squirrels, she seemed innately comfortable in the crotch of the tree, more comfortable than had it been a feather bed or the softest chair. “Ah’m Enon McKie, by th’ by.” She added, closing her eyes, both the good and the bad.

((Sorry, I was unclear. Daniel has a neutral accent. Not a northern one.))
Daniel looked up at the hardy squirrel. He smiled despite the fact that he was genuinely startled. She looked experienced, maybe even dangerous. But Daniel decided if she was going to do him any harm, it would have already been done. Inwardly, Daniel was somewhat worried about the situation. He knew neither of the two beasts, and he could have just walked into a bad scenario. This squirrel could probably drill him right between the eyes with her sling or bow, and this other otter who he was waiting on to respond back was obviously an excellent fighter. Daniel reached back into his mind and grabbed some confidence; Daniel was no slouch in combat. With his trusty staff, he downed many more vermin than he could remember. Aside from his physical prowess, he was really quite clever. Still, he was on edge.
Neither of the two strangers would ever think he was wary, though, as his face was warm and friendly. He could feign any emotion, any at all. He looked from the squirrel to the otter who looked ready to say something, then back to the tree-climber. Daniel decided to address the squirrel quickly. "Hi there, tree-climber... Lovely weather out, eh? Gotta love the cold, Ma'am," he said. He then turned his attention to the other otter and spoke, "Sorry, sir. Didn't mean to cut you off."

(sorry, I'm a bit late ) Komali had moved up closer to the fire so he could add a few more small twigs to it and finish the last of his scones next to the warm glow. Komali was never fond of cold weather. He much preferred the warmer seasons. Komali's ears suddenly twitched as the sound of crunching leaves disturbed the tranquil sounds of nature. "Top of the morning to you, sir! Quite nice out, eh?" The battle hardened otter's eyes narrowed and he turned his head slowly, the voice sounded friendly enough, but he didn't want to make any sudden movements if that not be the case. His Green eyes made contact with the creature...another river otter. The large Otter gave him a friendly smile, causing Komali to relax. This beast did not seem to be a threat, but he did seem to be the sort that knew war. Komali was about to opened his mouth and greet the traveler, when another voice broke into his ears. “Aye, an’ tae ye, enjoy your breakfast th’ no, laddie?” Komali was a bit startled by this voice. He jerked his head to the direction where he thought the sound originated from, but he only saw grass and trees. “An’ o’ course ye ‘ave been visitin’ th’ Hielander ‘ares.” Komali made a 360 degree turn scanning the forest ground. his hand subconsciously rested on the hilt of his Kriegsmesser “Ah’m Enon McKie, by th’ by.” Komali finally saw the voices owner, a female black squirrel nestled in the crotch of a great oak. it was hard to tell from a distance, but she looked like a seasoned fighter herself. What Komali really wanted to know was how long she had been there with out him noticing. Komali wasn't sure who he should address first. he opened his mouth to speak but was cut off by the otter "Hi there, tree-climber... Lovely weather out, eh? Gotta love the cold, Ma'am," the friendly beast then turned his attention to him "Sorry, sir. Didn't mean to cut you off." "Heh don't worry about it, my name is Komali Ryken" Pleasure to meet you." he then turned his attention to the squirrel. "and you are a little sneaky rouge aren't you" he said with a slight smile. "Pleasure to meet you too Ms. Enon"...
