Merce Whitedeath happily bounded through the woods. He had no where to really go and nothing to do! For him, this was perfect! He stopped suddenly when, up ahead in the woods, he saw a black weasel! Jumping to her side, he walked with her, keeping perfect pace. "Hello miss!" he said happily, "what happened to your poor arm!" He grinned his white teeth gleaming in contrast to his strange red eyes.

Shadowsleek put her dagger away and squinted at the albino weasel with her elegant brown eyes. She was happy to have another beast of her own kind with her, she rarely saw a weasel, let alone an albino.

Yet didn't know wether or not to trust him or not, he seemed friendly enough, yet trust was one thing Shadowsleek didn't have, but today she suddenly got in a better mood.
"well sir, my pleasure of meeting you, they call me Shadowsleek, i dont exactly have a sur-name, not very proud of it either. my wound isn't too bad, yet im sorry to say i got more damage then him" she grinned a small smile with her sharp teeth.

Merce grinned back, this stranger seemed friendly! "I'm Merce!" he said, "short for mercenary." He did a quick handspring and turned, walking back-wards in front of Shadowsleek. "Were are you going?" Merce asked, "do you travel like me?" He cocked his head toward Shadowsleek, waiting for her response.

Shadowsleek shrugged "i go where the winds tell me guess, but at the moment well....." she remembered Tataroo and the Redwall attack plan, but she bit back her tongue and continued "wandering. You could say i am a normal traveler." se yawned and tilted her head a bit, its not everyday you meet a beast that didn't want to kill you, especially for vermin folk as herself.
"any direction you are set to?" she asked looking nervously over his should in case there was a fairly large rock he could trip over walking backwards, yet seeing non she relaxed a bit.

(I notaced your questin under the picture, I not sure but I think I have the answers. The weasel the Brian talks about is most likely the Least Weasel which is rarely more than 23 centimeters (9 in) long. They have mostly red-ginger fur and white bellys, which nither of our charectors do . The stoat/ermine is also known as the short-tailed weasel. This is because it has a shorter tail than the weasel. The stoat is white, called an ermine in winter. In other seasons, it is a rich brown with an off-white belly. Its tail has a black tip in all seasons. Ermines may grow up to 30 cm long. Ferrets are by far the largest, they typically have brown, black, white, or mixed fur, and have an average length of approximately 20 inches (51 cm) including a 5 inch (13 cm) tail. "No where really," Merce said, "but I'm thinking of giving Redwall, a little visit ." He grinned nastily, showing that this "visit" was not a good one. "Of course," he said thoughtfully, "I work for pay and if one were to pay me, I would work for them!" He grinned at this statement, apparently finding it funny. With a high jump, he was back beside the other weasel again. "How would like to come to Redwall with me Shadowsleek?" Merce said with a strange smile.
