Adimun Snakefang turned over a moss-coated stone with a stick, examining the chip of quartz under the rock. Th stoat opened his jaws wide in a lazy yawn and sat down, dark eyes taking in every detail from the soft many leaved ferns, green, yellow, and brown, to the tall oak, elm, pine, and aspen trunks and leaves that hung like Christmas ornaments. All was quiet-but not for long.

Springheel Jakk had been out tree climbing, observing all around him. He was in a cheery mood for no reason whatsoever. Probably in that mood because he was having a fun time. Then his shouting and 'whooping' calmed down as he noticed a beast directly in front of his path. Smirking lightly, Springheel continued his tree-hopping until he was in a tree directly above the above. Luckily, the beast's back was to Springheel, so he hadn't a need to worry about being spotted. Upon closer look, the young fox realized that the beast in question was actually a stoat. "Oy." Springheel muttered. He didn't want to cause trouble, but if he turned now, he would surely be heard by the stoat, so Springheel stayed silent where he was, being careful not to make a noise until...
"Hello there, mate! How are you today, sir? You are a sir, right?" Springheel dropped from the branch and was dangling with his feet locked about the strong branch he was recently sitting on, so now, Springheel was upside down and staring into the eyes of a stoat, supposedly on the evil side. Springheel better act like he was on his side, because he didn't want to cause trouble.

Hello there, mate! How are you today, sir? You are a sir, right?
Adimun murmured the two words silently out of the side of his mouth. 'Yes, mate.' The stoat was fully aware of the fox, trying not to show his surprise as the question flashed like a bullet into the evening.
Adimun Snakefang put his paw down and a spider crawled across it. He touched the arachnid lightly on the back with a claw and the spider circled it before the stoat let it climb down onto the ground. 'What can I do for you, fox?'

Springheel shudderd at being called a fox, "Please sir, please do not call me fox. I have a name." The young fox's head started to ache from all the blood flowing there from being upside down, so he dropped from the branch and caught his balance with his two feet crossed and his arms outstretched. He decided to change his attitude from the c ocky, joking fox to a gruff, angry fox. Well.... He tried. "My name's..." He thought for a moment, not wanting to reveal his name... "Vorai... Call me Vorai..." C ocking his neck, Springheel started to eye up the stoat in front of him, "Please... Do not be troubled by my... appearance." He smirked while pointing to his fur clothing. "Do not ask how I got it, for that is a story for another time." Winking, Springheel stood up to his full height, which in all reality, wasn't that tall. Well, it was for Springheel.

Please sir, please do not call me fox. I have a name.
'Aye. Ye' can call me Adimun. My full title is Adimun Snakefang.' The stoat stroked his ears and resumed facing the ground, screwing up his face in concentration as if he was trying to reveal a long-lost memory. At last, Adimun spoke. 'I don't remember...but I think my father was called Vorai Snakefang.'
Adimun snapped a stick with a quick flick of his paws and brought a pawful of pine needles up to his muzzle, breathing the strong scent in and refreshing his lungs. The stoat dug his heel into the ground, threw some dead pine needles and sticks onto the top, then bent over the hole and, within seconds, had a small fire flickering in the hollow. He placed his paws in front of the flames and motioned to the fox to join him.

Keeping silent for not wanting to give away his impersanation of a bad beast, Springheel just nodded and slumped down on the ground next to the fire, and warmed his hands. Disguising his voice, Springheel asked, "Vorai Snakefang, eh? Must've stolen it from me." Then Springheel mentally winced, because Springheel was only 19, probably younger than Adimun, which means he was definitely younger than his father, so then his father couldn't have 'stolen' the name. Was Vorai really used as a name before? It couldn't have been, Springheel had just made it up on the spot. He decided to keep shut about just creating the name, in fear of somehow insulting this beast. Then there was silence. Silence except for the cackling of the fire, and the wind that slowly picked up speed until it was whistling like a banshee. Cracking his neck, then his knuckles, Springheel stood up and looked into the forest, "C'mon. I got a hut somewhere. We'll keep warm in there." Then he mentally winced yet again. If this stoat wanted Springheel to think he was bad, then he shouldn't have invited him to his hut. Vermin never do that to their fellow vermin. This stoat was sure to think something was up with Springheel, but Springheel decided to play the game until he was beaten. "You coming?" He called back as he traveled into the woods in the general direction of his hut.

Vorai Snakefang, eh? Must've stolen it from me.
Adimun laughed. 'Aye. 'e was the warlord of a big horde, as I remember. 'E got 'sself killed on a boat, an 'e was only about thirty.'
C'mon. I got a hut somewhere. We'll keep warm in there.
'Somewhere?' Adimun echoed the words as he dug another hole and doused the flames with dirt before using a stick to push the ashes and charcoal into the hollow.

"Yea. Somewhere." Ha snapped. "But I know where it is." After about five minutes, Springheel made it to not a hut, but a hollow with bamboo and sticks around it. "What?" He said. "I had my hut right here! It's gone!" Then he was jerked half around by a force he hadn't known until he looked at his shoulder. There was an arrow protruding from his shoulder. That must;ve been what took jerked him around. Luckily, the fur clothing was so thick, it barely left a scratch on Springheel. "Get down!" He roared to Adimun. Another arrow flew out towards adimun, but Springheel tackled the stoat out of the way, and in the same movement, stood up and ripped the arrow out of his clothing. Growling fiercely at something he couldnt even see, Springheel called out, "Show yourself!"
A burly looking ferret walked out with a bow and a quiver. "Ello Springheel. How are ye today, mate?"
Springheel winced visibly, his cover was blown, the stoat was sure to realize he was lying about his name. Then Springheel called back, "What are you doing here, Meko? Why'd you tear down my hut?"
Meko smirked, "I felt like it." Then with that, the ferret loosed off another shaft, then another, each aimed for Springheel Jakk.
((BTW, You can RP Meko. He's an NPC. Just don't kill him.))

Valdis Swiftsword was on a mission. "Nothing important, just scouting the area," he thought, "how hard could it be?" However, the men behind pushed, jostled, and generally made enough noise to wake up a dead tree. "Quite!" he said in a loud whisper, "this a scouting mission, not a battle!" The men stopped their fighting. Shuffled their foot-paws nervously, their Capitan suddenly became interested in a small twig at his feet. "Thank you," said Valdis in the silence that followed. Turning, he smiled. Yes the men were clumsy, but at least they were good fighters. Suddenly, he stopped. He raised his paw, signaling for the Redclaw men to halt. Up ahead, a fox, a stoat, and ferret were standing or sitting together. They were talking about a hut, which seemed to have been demolished by the ferret. Suddenly, the ferret, who they called Meko, fired arrows at the fox, Springheel. Drawing his rapier, Valdis ran into the clearing, followed by a score of Redclaw swords-beasts. "What is going on!" he shouted to the creatures. He stayed near a tree encase the ferret decided to make him a target.
