OOC: I don't know if this is a double post considering that there are two characters speaking, so my deepest apologies if it is.
IC: Orfum filled three beakers with strawberry fizz and handed them to Oaklea, Apani, and Theurl. He trundled off into his sleeping quarters and pulled out a small firkin of elderberry wine. "Can I tempt you Tireal?
Theurl started giggling as the strawberry fizz went down and tickled his throat. He was so glad he was going to get to stay up late. He was grateful to miss Oaklea for convincing Tireal to let them all stay up.

The otter in question eyed the firkin a little nervously. While he didn't mind alcohol like Wildrun, he wasn't the type who generally drank something as strong as elderberry wine. However, he didn't want to seem rude by declining, so he said, "Well...alright, just a little, though." He smiled as he saw the others drinking (or attempting to drink) their strawberry fizz. He was glad he had been talked out of spoiling this for everyone; opportunities like this were so rare, and more importantly, so fun! Besides, what was there better to do anyways?

"that's the ticket me boyo." Orfum tried to imitate the rough nautical speech of the otters, but did so poorly. He tipped the firkin ever so slightly into Tireal's glass. He poured a genenrous portion into his own goblet and quaffed it quite speedily. He refilled it and drank it a little slower. He knew the strong drink affected him negatively, so he would have to be careful.

Tirael did his best not to wince at the rather...well, bluntly put, rather bad otter impersonation. He didn't speak like that, and he didn't think he could do a better accent, but then he didn't even try. He watched the wine slide into his cup, then watched as over double that amount poured into Orfum's goblet. As the hedgehog cellarkeeper swigged his, the otter infirmary keeper thought Well, here's nothing, and drank.
The wine felt like fire going down Tirael's throat, making him cough a bit. However, it was over in moments, much to his relief. "Woo, that was good, a bit strong for me, but good." He had to remember this stuff for the infirmary; it could clear out the sinuses faster than anything he could make.

Oaklea was giggling uncontrollably as the sugary goodness of the fizz flooded her. She cracked up even further as Orfum tried to imitate TIrael and Tirael managed to quaff elderberry wine. She grinned hugely, standing up and swaggering about, grabbing Tirael for somethign that might be called a dance.
"This--" she hiccuped, not having gotten any air while giggling, "--is why I don't--hic--have alcohal! Sugar d-does en-hic-enough for m--hic--me! Haha!"

Tirael was a little surprised as Oaklea pulled him into some fast spinny thing he took to be a dance, but soon he was laughing just as hard as she was. Before long he was incredibly dizzy, but he was having too much fun to notice. That is, until he tripped over his own paws and fell, pulling Oaklea with him. Sitting up, he continued laughing; he felt incredibly giddy. "Haha, woo, I think it's doing enough for me, too, and I didn't even drink any!" Wiping away a tear of merriment, he got up and offered a paw to Oaklea. "A classy lady like yourself shouldn't be on the dirty old floor, Miss Oaklea," he said, feigning a gallant bow as he offered his paw.

"Miss?" Oaklea looked alsmot offended as she took Tirale's paw and dusted herself off. Rasing herself up to rimrod striaghtness, she said primly and in the best impression of a spinster she could manage, "That is The Oaklea to you!"
She laughed, bowing back to Tirael and adding with a grin, "The gentleman has wonderful dancing skills, even with the sugar!"

Orfum's eyes begin to shine as he quaffed a second beaker of Elderberry wine. He laughed heartily as Oaklea tried to convince Tireal to dance. He leaned back on his barrel and almost fell over. He righted himself and stood up and grabbed his hogtwanger. It had been passed down to him through cellar hogs from ages past. He was moderately skilled. He placed it on his head and plucked a few strings experimentally. "Any one up for a lively reel?"

Tirael gave Oaklea the most exaggerated look of hurt pride he could, crossing his arms and saying, "Gentleman? Excuse me, I believe the correct term is 'perfect being'." Smiling, he said, "Thanks, but you were leading, I just followed." Not very well, considering you ended up on the floor, he thought to himself ruefully. Whatever, fun was fun.
"Any one up for a lively reel?
The otter appeared to consider this for a moment, then said, "Well, if the Oaklea is up for it, I'm game." Turning to Theurl, he said, "Though I think we'll have to ask the Abbey Master of Dance to join us as well." If they were going to party, the more the merrier.

Theurl bowed low and jigged a merry jig. " Hi love dancing." He didn't know much about dancing. He just kind of shuffled his feet and moved his hands. He listened to the hogtwanger and the expertise with which the hedgehog was playing. He loved music and was very pleased to be allowed to stay up and be a part of this.

Violet had poured herself a small portion of elderberry wine. She gulped it down quickly. At the mention of a jig, she giggled. She wasn't much of a dancer, but she was going to try.
" Hi love dancing." said the little Theurl. She laughed quietly into her hand as he attempted to dance.
"Ah, my good sir. If you'd be so kind as to dance with me, I'd be very grateful." She grabbed his little paws, and started twirling around with him.

Theurl went round and round with Violet. He was glad to be dancing as it was one of his favorite activities. He laughed as Mr. Orfum played his hogtwanger exceptionally well. "Hee hee you dance good violet."
